Situated in the prime wildlife-viewing location of the mighty Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve), Siwandu promises an unparalleled safari experience in luxury tented accommodation. Tents are dotted along the shores of Lake Nzerakera and sheltered by a palm forest – elephant and hippo frequently wander through the camp on their way to the lake.

As one of Africa’s wildest and least known reserves, Nyerere National Park offers incredible game viewing and you’ll enjoy daily game drives in the reserve. You’ll be able to spot members of the largest crocodile and hippo populations in Africa, and perhaps get the chance to see the rare African wild dog. Boat safaris on the Rufiji River depart from the camp’s two jetties and you can also enjoy excellent bird watching and guided walking tours through the bush.
