Unique and intimate camps in the South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Kafue National Park are usually owner run and managed by people who are passionate about Zambia's unspoilt landscapes and fantastic game viewing, and take great pride in sharing it with you.

Deeper in Zambia's parks are remote bushcamps where you can truly have an authentic safari experience. Although not as luxurious, this accommodation still offers good quality linen, nice warm showers, tasty food and, best of all, incredible locations far off the beaten track.

Near Victoria Falls, along the bank of the Zambezi River, are magnificent hotels and safari lodges. Some are so close they have private footpaths down to the Falls while further upstream romantic suites are tucked into the bush, with peaceful views of the river gliding by.

We Recommend:

Chongwe River Camp has a peaceful riverside setting in the Lower Zambezi National Park. Stay in incredibly comfortable tents and be looked after by people who are clearly passionate about what they do. As there are no fences, elephant often wander through the camp, feeding on the winterthorn and acacia trees.

Toka Leya is a luxurious camp tucked away in a canopy of trees on the banks of the Zambezi River, 20 mins from Victoria Falls. This is the kind of place where you want to kick off your shoes and relax on the private deck of your luxurious air-conditioned tent, watch the river glide by and listen to the sound of birds or occasional grunt of a hippo.

Chamilandu is a unique bushcamp, with just 3 reed chalets in a beautiful location overlooking the Lungwa River, in the South Luangwa National Park. The chalets are totally open-fronted, making the most of the river views. The area is known for great game viewing and is also an excellent base for South Luangwa walking safaris.
