It is strongly recommended that you reserve all your Botswana accommodation as far in advance as possible. Most of the lodges in Botswana are very small and availability for much of the accommodation in Botswana is at a premium - particularly during peak season (the dry winter months between May and October). Botswana lodges and safari camps are predominantly located in the Savuti, Chobe, Moremi Game Reserve, Okavango Delta and Tuli Game Reserve areas.

Botswana has designed its tourism strategy around the "low impact for high yield" model and, therefore, you'll find that the accommodation is generally a lot more expensive than other safari destinations in Africa.

Chief's Camp - Location is what makes this camp exceptional. Chief's Island in the Moremi Game reserve is a hot spot for game viewing. All the big cats as well as herds of elephant and buffalo are seen here regularly. The camp is small and intimate with only 12 luxurious and spacious tented suites.

Game drives are the main activity but mokoro (dugout canoe) trips are possible from June through to September depending on the water levels. We recommend you combine your stay here with Chobe Chilwero also owned by Sanctuary Lodges.
