How can I be assured that you are a reputable company and not a fly-by-night operation?
We've been operating - and growing every year - since 1998. We operate out of an 830m2 office in the heart of Cape Town with a staff of 100 passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable people.
Our business partners include some of Africa's biggest and best-known operators. Our great service, and your holiday, is guaranteed through our accreditation with IATA, SATSA, ATTA and ASTA.
What tangible security can you offer me if I book with you?
We are SATSA BONDED and fully accredited with IATA, ASTA: international travel associations that not only ensure our great service and products, but also guarantee that your payments are safe and insured.
What accreditation does Go2Africa have?
We are fully accredited with the following international and national travel organisations: IATA (International Air Transport Association);SATSA (Southern African Tourism Services Association); ATTA (African Travel and Tourism Association);
ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) and Cape Town Tourism.
Who are your business partners and how do you choose them?
We're really fussy when it comes to whom we do business with; we not only expect our operators to deliver the same kind of service we provide but we expect to share the same values towards our clients - and Africa.
So, over the 10 years we've built up solid, professional, tried-and-trusted relationships with some of Africa's - and the world's - top travel and tourism brands: SAA, CCA, Wilderness Safaris, Orient-Express, Mala Mala and British Airways to mention a few.
To ensure standards remain as high as we think they should be, we inspect the accommodation we offer regularly.
How do I know Go2Africa is legitimate?
Go2Africa has been an independent, registered and annually audited company since 1998. Our company registration number is 1998/015392/07. We operate out of an 830m2 office in the heart of Cape Town with 100 employees.
We are fully accredited with international and local travel associations and have forged professional business relationships with some of Africa's biggest travel and tourism companies.

What happens to my vacation if Go2Africa goes under? Would I be able to lodge a claim?
Go2Africa is a Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) bonded company. This means that not only are we a company of recognised good financial standing but also that in the extremely unlikely event of an insolvency, your deposits will be returned or our services will be replaced - up to the value of R300 000.00.
Tell me more about the company's history.
Go2Africa is the brainchild of Mark Preyer, who blazed an e-trail through the embryonic online travel industry in the mid-1990s. With backgrounds in both IT and business, Mark saw the potential of the worldwide web and set up Go2Africa in 1998.
His instinct proved right and the company quickly grew - an expansion that in 2004 saw the dynamic addition of Joanne Dickson as Managing Director.
Growth has been constant, and today we can proudly say that we are the leading online retailer of travel to Africa.

What does Go2Africa offer that other companies don't?
Being located in Africa means we know what we're talking about: our Africa Safari Experts have extensive, first-hand experience of the countries and places they sell - you won't find better extensive knowledge or expert advice.
Moreover, being based locally also means that we contract all our product directly and thus know our product partners extremely well. That means should anything go amiss with your travel arrangements, or if you have an emergency, we are on standby locally and can immediately mobilise the necessary resources to assist you as quickly as possible.
Contracting all of our product directly means there are no expensive middlemen costed into your vacation. Our rates, which include our full suite of pre, on and post-vacation services, are never more expensive than if you were to book directly with the lodge, hotel or service provider.
Furthermore, we are totally independent: we're not obligated to sell product we don't believe in. We are extremely fussy about what we sell and we won't offer any product that doesn't meet our strict criteria.
Finally, we have always been customer centric: we won't sell product because we're financially incentivized to do so. Other travel companies may push their clients through service providers who offer big commissions; we only offer product we feel perfectly suits our travellers' requirements.
Do you have a representative company (for example in Tanzania) or do you deliver the services yourself?
We are a specialist retail company based in Cape Town - we don't operate the lodges or run the safaris ourselves but what we do is make use of some of the world's leading operators and destination management companies to ensure that your vacation is a seamless and unforgettable one.
Am I eligible for travel to Africa? Can Go2Africa arrange my visas?
Anyone with a valid passport is eligible to travel to the countries and top destinations we offer. You will however need to check whether you need a visa for any of the countries you plan to visit and this is best done with your nearest relevant embassy or consulate, or your local visa shop.
Please note that Go2Africa is unable to arrange visas for our clients and we cannot be held responsible if visa applications are denied for any reason. We also cannot be held responsible for any changes in costs, requirements, delays, or loss of passports caused by the issuing authorities.
